When it comes to tequila, no name commands a higher respect than Patrón. And as consumer demand for more refined and unique spirits increase, the brand has decided to expand their line of premium tequilas with a new limited edition product.

Gran Patron Smoky is made from highest-quality 100% Weber Blue Agave hand-harvested and roasted with mesquite for seven days in small underground stone pits at the Patrón Hacienda distillery in the Highlands of Jalisco, Mexico.

The roasted heart of the agave plant is then slowly crushed with a volcanic stone tahona wheel. The resulting juice and agave fibers are then placed in pine fermentation tanks before being distilled in small-capacity copper pot stills and bottled at 101 proof.

The finished Gran Patron Smoky Tequila is characterized by its nose of artichoke, pepper, spices, and hints of sweet citrus. This is followed by a smooth and sweet taste with very distinctive notes of smoked agave and citrus shored up by a long peppery finish. A true high-quality tequila that brings a new level of meticulous detail and distinct taste to the premium Patrón brand.

To house such a masterpiece, Patrón created an elegant bottle wood stopper and Portuguese cork closure with a smoke trail on the label, a nod to the tequila’s roasting process. This limited edition spirit will only be available in limited supply at select markets across the US.
